The Mistake (Off-Campus #2)
"The Mistake" by Elle Kennedy is the second book in the off-campus series and arguably one of the best books in this series, which proves second chances in love can be even sweeter than first impressions!
Logan O'Connor's story completely stole my heart. Our hockey player might be confident on the ice, but watching him fumble his way falling for Grace had me alternating between face-palming and swooning. Their meet-cute sets the tone for a romance that feels delightfully messy yet also real.
Grace Ivers isn't your typical freshman - she's focused, ambitious, and doesn't let Logan's charm instantly win her over. Their journey from awkward encounters to genuine connection felt so authentic that I found myself rooting for them even during their messiest moments.
Kennedy absolutely shines at writing characters who feel like people you'd actually know. The banter between the hockey team had me laughing out loud, and Grace's determination to make Logan work for his redemption was perfect. The chemistry between these two is off the charts, but it's the emotional development that makes this story sing.
Can we talk about Logan's growth? Watching him navigate family expectations, team dynamics, and his feelings for Grace while trying to become a better person makes you invested in every page. And Grace? Her strength in setting boundaries while still being open to forgiveness makes her such a compelling character.
Just be warned: you might find yourself staying up way too late to finish "just one more chapter"!
