The Score (Off-Campus #3)

Elle Kennedy’s The Score is the third book in the Off-Campus series, giving us the amazing story of Dean Di Laurentis and Allie Hayes. This book has a mix of humor, steam, and emotional depth, and it meets its expectations. But does The Score live up to the hype of its predecessors? Let’s find out!

From the very first chapter, I was completely hooked by the chemistry between the two. Their banter is like a chef’s kiss and leaves you grinning like a fool. Dean's cockiness would be annoying if not for Elle Kennedy’s magic writing making it so that you can't help but fall for him. And Allie? She's exactly the kind of heroine we need - smart, funny, and absolutely not putting up with Dean's usual games.

It's not all steamy scenes and witty comebacks (though trust me, there are plenty of those!). Kennedy dives deep into both characters' fears and vulnerabilities. Dean's struggle with his family's expectations and Allie's journey to follow her dreams hit the reader right in the heart. The way they support each other while dealing with their mess? That's the kind of relationship I would die for!

And can we talk about how this book fits into the Off-Campus series? The friendship between the hockey boys continues to be everything - their group chat messages had me laughing out loud. If you loved Garrett and Logan's stories, you're going to absolutely adore seeing them pop up throughout Dean's journey.

Fair warning: This book should come with a "Do Not Start at Bedtime" label because you WILL stay up until 2 AM to finish it.

Rating: 4.5/5 Hockey Pucks ✨
