The Graham Effect (Campus Diaries #1)
Elle Kennedy scored again with The Graham Effect, the latest addition to the beloved Briar U world. And I'm so excited to tell you all about it! If you're looking for the perfect sports romance that balances fierce competition with hot chemistry, this is going to be your new obsession.
This time, we follow Gigi Graham, daughter of the one and only Garrett Graham from The Deal, as she pursues her dream of being in the Olympics. To help her train, she asks for the help of Luke Ryder—a six-foot-five hockey player, and the new, brooding co-captain of Briar’s men’s team, who’s also dealing with his own set of challenges after a program merger leaves him leading a fractured team.
Their deal is simple: he trains her, and she helps him get in good with her legendary dad. But, of course, nothing in a Kennedy novel stays simple for long. What starts as a straightforward agreement quickly becomes complicated as undeniable attraction builds between them, and resisting it? Nearly impossible.
What makes this book especially compelling is the depth Kennedy brings to both characters' development. Luke’s not just a hot hockey player—he’s wrestling with the challenge of uniting a team that’s fractured. Adding to the complexity is his position as co-captain with Gigi’s ex, which makes the stakes even higher.
Fair warning: you might want to clear your schedule before starting this one. I intended to read "just a few chapters" and ended up devouring it in one sitting!
